Hey guys, I stole this idea from another forum I frequent. I know that I personally have limited funds when it comes to buying tack, and I'm sure some of you are in the same boat. So, I thought it would be a good idea to have a trading post. You post a list of things that you have that you aren't using, and would be willing to trade. You also post a list of things that you are looking for (be reasonable though, and try to arrange fair trades). You can then PM people if you see something on their list that you have, or if they have something you want, and make offers.
I've traded with people from all over Canada and the United States, and I've gotten some wonderful items. The only problem with it was that shipping was quite expensive to ship to the states, plus you have to worry about customs. I would imagine that trading would work out great around here, because the shipping would be much cheaper, and drop-offs/pick-ups would be possible as well.
So here we go, I'll start.
Things I have to trade:
--> Used English saddle, brown leather, no brandname (atleast I can't find it). Can get pics if interested (someone is looking at it tonight)
-->Havana english breastplate, used.
--> Brown soft leather reins, joined with a fancy chicago screw in the middle.
-->3-tube tail wrap, white fleece with yellow duckies on it
-->4" Loose-ring snaffle, used
-->5" Low-port curb bit
-->5" slow-twist walker gag-bit
-->5" medium port copper mouthed tom thumb
-->A few miscelaneous brushes
-->Size 5.5 synthetic leather tall boots, used. Way too small for me.
-->Black spanish dressage bridle, noseband and reins. Bought new for $160 in spain, very nice. Has the fringed browband.
-->Green plaid western saddle pad, fleece underside.
-->A few nylon tack items: A black bridle, a black bridle/halter combo, a rear cinch w/billets.
--> Brown shaped english pad, lightly used.
Items I'm looking for:
-->Half-chaps, brown (well, any color, but preferably brown), size small (I think..)
-->Any good quality bits, I'm a bit collector
-->32" neoprene girth
-->Western suede chaps, size small. Brown or black
-->Any decent-good quality english tack/apparel
