Look in the buy and sell, they might have a calm horse that would suit your description.

I'm not sure what the horses are now at SC but when I was there 6 months or so ago they were trying to sell them for like 3000 or more. Jim at point wanted 7000 for Thunder. might of changed tho.

Jium wont budge on Thunders price. He is an amazing horse so is well deserved of the money. I dont know how much Lightfoot is but shes a VERY quiet horse and is pretty good under saddle. Hector is.....well lets put him in the category of spazz so he probabally wouldnt be sutibable at all. Then there is paddy but hes just a yearling!!
Good lucjk

I was just in Ontario looking for a horse for myself. And there's a great barn in Campleville called Tough N' Go. I'm not sure if they have a website, but I'm sure if you googled it you'd be able to find it. That's what they do their, just buy and sell horses (along with a few boarders, but you know what I mean). So if you're looking as far as Ontario I'd suggest this place for sure!!

thunder is a really great horse. but i say he's not worth as much as they are asking. i would pay a bit lower then what they're asking.

I personally dont think any horse here is worth over 5k (save for a few of them..)..but the majority...ehhh.. What about the horses who people paid more than 5000 for who came in from out of province? Wouldn't they be worth the 5000 + additional training? I dont know many horses people have brought in from out of province who didn't cost more that 5k.

I think she meant that horses from this province, trained in this province, aren't usually worth more than 5k, speaking in terms of training and whatever else. I know for a fact that Reo is currently worth a lot more than 5k with his training and bloodlines, and I know that Molly (Erica Stone's horse) is worth a lot more than 5k, as is Vaquero. And those are just the horses at my barn, I'm sure there's plenty others also at the other barns. But they're also all from out-of-province, with training from various barns on the mainland.
Most come from the mainland because a lot of the animals in Newfoundland aren't worth investing in, assuming you're looking for a show horse with previous training.
A lot of people I've seen tend to price their horse based on their love and attachment to it, not it's actual ability. I'm not saying this is the case with this man and Thunder, I don't know him and I've never seen the horse, I've just seen a lot of people do it and it's unfair to prospective buyers.
Anyway, we're getting off topic, so as for the horse, I'll keep my ears open and let you know if I hear of anything.

Not necessarily. If the horse was bought for 5k and brought down here, theres like..an 90% chance theyre not worth what they were when they came down.(If youd like some examples, just send me a PM) Now obviously if the training is kept up, then yes theyre going to be worth more. This is just MVHO . I wouldnt pay more than 4k for *most* of the horses that were bred and trained here.

well if you count Juleah Patten's horse, Boy, you'd be up in the 30-40k range... that's what I believe was paid for him.
Back on Topic, what about the horse advertised here, Prince..? was that his name, the one advertised by Jumpthemoon
