Hello Newfoundland horse friends! I have recently moved to Newfoundland from Kentucky and am now offering training and lessons. I have a strong background in hunter/jumper, dressage, cow-working (western) and natural horsemanship, as well as a love for working with young and "problem" horses. I have had the opportunity to ride with and learn from some great horsemen, including Buck Brannaman (as seen in the documentary "Buck"), Peter Campbell, Conrad Shumacher (Olympic dressage coach), Maryal Barnett (FEI dressage judge), a year-long internship with FEI rider and USDF Gold Medalist Reese Koffler-Stanfield, and many more. I also love to work cattle and am *trying* to develop my roping skills. I believe in working with horses from exactly where they are, using feel, timing, and patience to bring them up through the levels confidently. I do not believe in using "short-cuts" and strive to ensure each horse I work with has a solid foundation which can be turned into specialization in any discipline. I have experience working through many of the problems horses develop, such as bucking, kicking, biting, rearing, running-away, dull, head tossing, not loading, spookiness, etc... With summer and show season on its way, it is often helpful to have a new set of of eyes on the ground to help develop your riding in different ways. I offer full and half training packages, private lessons, showing, and clinics. Please refer to my website cwequestrian.wordpress.comOr email cewdressage@gmail.com or phone 709-771-4298 for more information! Happy riding!
