My friend used to have horses in Goose Bay, but I think they were in her backyard. I'll get hold of her and ask. Sent from my HTC One S using proboards

There aren't any boarding places in Goose, I believe the person chels is referring to was the only one with horses in the area for a while.

This is her post to me: "Well, when we moved here we took our horses with us obviously, but the land that we had our horses on was infected by some sort of bacteria as far as I know so the government bought all of the land. There are no horses left in goose bay. There were only about 4-5 families that had horses in goose bay, one of them being us. That's all I know, but when I'm talking to my dad again ill ask him because I know he's planning on moving our horses back up to goose bay in the near future."
I asked my other friend who lives in Goose now if there are any horses or stables up there, and she said there used to be a horse up until recently on Churchill Road. She gave me a name, Erin Woodward, who she told me used to have horses up there..
That's all the info I have for now, but if anything else comes up, I'll let you know.

Hoses in Labrador is a tough one, I worked there for a few months, but at the time I wasn't sure how long I would be going for. Initially I looked into if taking my horse would be feasible, depending how long I would be staying. I didn't end up staying longer than 3 months so it wasn't an issue. From what I seen living there, the terrain is typically quite rough. There are a couple that I know of, but generally very few horses, the highway is mostly gravel and makes for a terribly long rough drive (depending on which direction your driving from). I would imagine getting hay and supplies would probably be difficult. I would really do research on this before making a big move. Like I said, my experience was on the south coast (approx 3 hrs from the ferry), but not the easiest place to bring a horse. Feel free to pm me for more info.
