After about six years, I think it's time to invest in some new field boots. I was going to get another pair of Devon-Aire boots, but reading reviews made me notice there were a lot of complaints about zippers breaking. I'm not sure if I just got lucky, or if they're not making boots like they used to.
That being said, does anyone have suggestions of what brands to buy? I'm looking for leather zip-up boots.

I'm an ariat fan, but I dont know if they're in the price range... the Heritage should be. They're usually around 275-300

Katherine - I have a pair of field boots for sale too.... their Equicomfort with the back zip. 7.5 w? I dont have very big (wide) calves so I think they're just a narrow make. In great condition, have been in a bag for about 2 years.

They'd be too big for me. I have miniature feet.
I was looking at both Mountain Horse and Ariats so far. A lot of people swear by Ariats, but they do look a bit stiff to me.

www.horseloverz.com/Tall-Boots/177972-Dublin-Aristocrat-Ladies-Field-Boots.htmlI know these aren't a common brand, and they're not expensive but I absolutely swear by them. They're the comfiest boots ever. I've had them for almost three years and when cleaned they still look brand new. I ride in them four times a week, show in them, and plus teach in them in the summer. I can wear them during summer camp or teaching lessons for 8 hours no problem. I know it's not recommended to wear field boots when you aren't riding but mine are still perfectly comfortable to do both in. Definitely worth a look!

Aw too bad! I have size 5.5 with a wide calf ( it runs fairly narrow though) and a 6.5 with a wide calf. Both are too small for me in the calf
