For those who tow horse trailers and haul hay etc. What model and brand of truck do you prefer? Just sold my f150 and dave has his chevy with airbags installed for towing so I can use it for hauling until I find something, but I dont even know where to start looking, or what for :/ I have a bronco 3 horse gooseneck trailer, will have to check weight but just to give anyone with some advice an idea of what im hauling lol
Thanks

For a work truck as much as I love my dodge, I love the ford super duty when hauling allot. My boyfriend's dad has one and it doesn't even feel like your hauling anything. Fantastic. If your looking for Luxury, go with dodge I love my truck for that reason however if your looking for a work truck that is hauling allot, super duty diesel.

My Dodge1500 (hemi) is the best thing I've ever driven or hauled horses with, I forget I have a trailer attached sometimes and am hauling over 2000lb, just hit the tow haul and its a smooth ride all the way, can't speak for anything earlier than 2010 but wouldn't trade up my Dodge for anything

the new dodge 1500 don't have the best suspension for hauling anymore, you would have to put in airbags in but they have an amazing ride to them but older then 2010 there amazing for hauling. but if you were going for new the new ford f150 have amazing for hauling, but if you were going to go any bigger then 1500 do with a dodge.

I have hauled with a Dodge, Ford and a Chev. I've hauled all kinds of trailers, horse, flat bed, enclosed skidoo. The best I have found so far is a Ford (with a tow pkg). Dodge was the worst, and I found the Chev to be a great truck, but not for heavy work.
But everyone will have their own preferance.

Just sold the ford, won't be buying another one. Won't be buying a new dodge either. Looking more like a chev the more I test drive and research

Daves 1500 tows our 2 horse trailer fine and is modified to tow more then what my 3 horse weighs loaded, I just need something better on fuel for towing. Funny what you can figure out when you get some numbers haha

If your looking for chev or gmc, with better fuel mileage - look into the chev/gmc 2500 duramax diesel. Hauled with it long and short distance and would recommend. When it comes to work trucks I'd always go with diesel.
