After spending most of my summer in NS, I fell in love with another horse... so obviously the logical decision was to buy him.
Facts:
Name: Patriot (formerly Pierre)
Breed: French Canadian
Age: 8yrs
Height: 16hh (big for the breed)
Gender: Gelding
Color: Solid black
Markings: white star
Training: English pleasure - dressage candidate
Background: Patriot was bred/foaled on a Canadian breeding farm, which had to close when he was 4yrs, which is when he was bought by his last owner.
She bought him and his brother at a heard sale when he was 4yrs and his brother was 3yrs.
another 4yrs past and she decided 3 horses was too much for one rider, so she put him for sale "to the right home only". My friend in NS told me about him, and when we went to see him, it was love at first site. I brought him to the farm I worked at on trial, and bought him this past Sunday!
Turns out he's actually a great horse for my father to start out on, so this is an excellent father/daughter experience for us. Darby likes him to, so there's no skuffles in the field, yay!
