2 Day Trimming Clinic November 6 & 7 in Deer Lake, NL area

We would like to take this time to announce that we will be having a 2 day trimming clinic on November 6 and 7 at the Cache Rapids Stable, 255 Reidville Road, Deer Lake, NL . This will be a full 2 days of theory and practical experience with live horses under the supervision of AFA Journeyman Farrier, Mike Harris, Corner Brook, NL and Laura Babineau, of St John's, NL, Laura is a graduate of Kwantlen University's Advance Farrier Sciences program. Old's College and Kwantlen University share a common history with their Advanced Farrier Sciences program for being recognized as "the best programs" in North America.

The cost for the clinic will be $300.00 per person. For those interested in attending a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to register. Please make checks payable to Mike Harris and mail them to R.R.1 P.O. Box 2128, Corner Brook, NL A2H 2N2

WE WILL BE HAVING A DRAW THE LAST DAY OF THE EVENT FOR A "FREE" 2 DAY CLINIC.
Participants of the event will have an opportunity to win back the $300.00 fee for the clinic

Here is a list of tools necessary for getting the most from the clinic.

Farriers Apron (optional)

I would prefer it if everyone sent a check or money order to me rather than having Ruth take on the extra responsibility but I will ask her if that would be alright for special cases. I have been in the process of moving into the Corner Brook area and am quite often through Deer Lake, if you like we can make arrangements to meet.

I am actually going to be going through Deer Lake this afternoon to trim some horses in Cormack. If you want or you get this message you can call me at 709-572-0222.

As for bringing your own horse, I have no problem with that as long as you make arrangements with Ruth in advance if you are keeping the horse there for the weekend.

I haven't put an official deadline on when I will receive deposits but I would like them at least 2 weeks before the clinic. The reason is the limited amount of spaces available. We are planning on 15 spots for the clinic, once that number is reached we will not be accepting anymore applications.
