Hey Guys, As of right now I'm going to be home for the summer so i was thinking of putting off another Competitive Trail Ride sometime in late June early July. Just seeing if people are still into doing this type of event? Thanks

Judged Pleasure, Competative Trail and all the way to Endurance Races are not discipline oriented. It is about clean, well fitting tack on clean, well conditioned horses. This is supposed to be fun, but also, you should also have the horse well prepared for the distance and terrain involved. CTR's are usually 20-25 MILES or so, JP's are usually 10 or less, and Races can be up to 100 miles........possibly I am not ready for that ! lol Terrific to see that someone is planning one. There is alot of information out there....we used to put out a booklet for people. Who will judge ?

I am def. interested as I have done it twice before BUT I am hoping I could come out there a week or two beforehand to get Beau used to the trotting out of the driveway and the long, open roadway.
I am used to riding him with other horses on all kinds of trail rides but for some reason when I take him out that driveway he gets worked up so bad he almost backed into a ditch my last try!
I would love to do this again, LOVE, but this is def. a concern for me!
(p.s. if you get it on the go and I can book a stall for a week and a half before hand, count me in!!!)

I will happily bring along a student or two if the fees aren't too high. I still have some of the Centaur information packages that we used....if you want them [and I can find them]
