A quick update . Been that recently I have experienced serious back pain and am awaiting Xray results we have had to make some drastic changes here at Morning Star Acres.
Cam (our beautiful gray gelding) whome we relocated to our facility a few months ago departed on route to his new forever home with a wonderful couple that resides in newfoundland.
cam was a pro and fell in love with them...He is a great people horse......sara and Dave feell in love with him when they saw him on our website and posted adds on kijiji....
Huge congrats to sara adn dave of newfoundland.
safe travels and there will be tons of updates.......
Thankyou especially to Katherine who relocated her STB mare through us 2 years ago.....She is a dear friend of the new owners....
I am very saddened to see him leave but I know I will not be able to ride again if I get the surgery...
Velocity is next to go and her sale is pending to a pre approved family who owns her sister COCO.......
The older horses ladytese and Chardonnel will remain for the rest of their lives with us here.......
We are still going to work on relocations and may take in a few urgent cases next spring and summer but will remain with only 2 for now....
Cam is a first relocation to newfoundland. Be watching for him at a show near you.....

I will still be rehoming next year.....Just cannot keep as many due to possible back surgery which will put me out for awhile. This is y first out of province relocation of one of my own....I miss the boy already.....Sad to see him go.....But knowing I will always be in touch with the new owners and finally meeting them is fabulous......Guess that gives me hope....

I am thinking that the new home is possibly Dave and Sara Simmons at Hammonds Farm in Little Rapids. If so, Cam will have a wonderful home.

Ruth you are right......They are in love with him and he bonded with them so well. I know Sara's best friend Katherine and certainly I am reassured that there are forever homes...
How did you guess it was them???

Haha, very small horse community here. All you need as a persons's first name and the fact they have a horse, and we'll know who you're talking about.

Thankyou to everyone....I am planning a trip...Just need to know the best time to plan it - month - festivals etc..... Any tips?
jpoole. as for the back it is now a waiting game and we will see.....hoping for only positive....though since this has been a ongoing thing since I was young it is now nipping me in the tush for rejecting the surgery when i was younger........

Summer is definitely the best time to come. The vast majority of shows and clinics are in July and August.

The Humber Valley Strawberry Fest takes place during the last two weeks of July each year. A couple different communities have things on the go like concerts, fireworks, parades. etc. If you want to go as far as central NL, Grand Falls has the Salmon Fest around mid-July and that's THE biggest concert event in the province each year.

Great news MSA! Cam will be very happy in his new home. Have you received any results from your x-rays yet? I'm hoping for the best for you!

Yes, it is a very small horse world over here. Figured there couldn't be too many Dave and Sara's involved with horses. Dave and Sara are located about 1/2 hour away. Would love to meet you when you come over. We have Cache Rapids Stable in Reidville (10 minutes from Deer Lake) and have a small tack shop. Hope things work out for you with regards to your back. Let us know when you are coming over.
