Okay i'll mess around with it again, the only problem is there are a million different options..every little spot that has colour can be changed. Right now i'll try making the text lighter and the background darker and see what you think. If anyone has any suggestions..please help!

the black on a sort of sea green is not too bad. Better contrast, but still not as crisp as the original white on black. Wonder what very dark blue text on a ash gray would be like? OR the black test on a paler tint of the sea greenish color?

The original forum wasn't white on black though, it was still different shades of grey. I'll make the green lighter and we'll see how it is.
