Oh wow, I havent updated this in forever! Anyways my most recent ride was yesterday on Max. We warmed up w/t/c , practicing 2 point and circles and all the basics. Then ange set up a corse so we just went over the poles on the ground a few times untill we were all warmed up. Then ange set up the first jump and we went over it a few times and then the second, but this was my first time jumping him and hes abit tricky soo ange just wanted me too have two good jumped rather then 4 sloppy ones, so i worked on mastering the first two. aha. He was really good for me and i love the way he jumps When we were all nice and sweaty we cooled out for a long time then i brought him and put some bug spray on him and let him back out in his paddock. I was really happy with him

So as most of you know i just started leasing a arab/trak named Sabrina, ive had a few rides on her so far and i love her to pieces! Well i rode her today so ill tell about that ride. Well we warmed up w/t, circles and serpintines and stuff then when we were warmed up we worked on our circles on the left rein because she tends to lean in on them and then did a few figure eights and worked on swiching our bend. After that we moved it up to a canter and did some more work on 20 meter circles going on the left rein and she was really good. Im still getting used to her but im really starting to figure her out now . But im really happy with her and i cant wait to really "connect" ahah, with her And as for pictures, I think there should be some up tomorrow or so !

Wow, I keep forgetting to update this. Well recently me and Sabrina have been working on bending around 20 meter circles and today i had a lesson and it deifnitly payed off because she was awesome! We warmed up on a 20 meter circle doing some halt transitions because she was being a little spooky first, and then we moved it up too a trot and stayed on our circle. We did some sitting trot and posting trot on the circle working on making the sitting trot easy flowing and nice. After we did that in both directions we walked up a straight line and then did some bending of the hind end or something, where we move they're bums in a tiny bit but the front stays straight. When we had that down, we did a canter strike off in the corner ( walk canter transition ) and canterd 2 circles, we did this about 5 or 6 times. Sabrina was soo good for me. We cooled for a nice long time around the ponds and when we went back into the barn i gave her lots of treats !

Her walk canter transitions are better then her trot canter transitions. Keep up the great job!

Thanks, you guys ! Today i rode and warmed up with more halt transtions ( walk halt and trot halt ) and some more 20 meter circles. Then we picked up our trot and did some figure eights to work on balance and bend , then re finding it when we went to the other side of the eight. Once that improved and i felt a difference, we did 1 or 2 canter figure eights, with simple lead changes. She was being such a good girl i decided to hop down and set up a small cross rail to go over . Since it was my first time jumping her i only wanted a small jump becuase i didnt know what to expect. She was excelent! I gave the girl another long cool out then i brought her in the barn and put her to bed! I was extreamly happy with our ride today .

So it was your first time jumping her? Very cool! I'm sure she has a much bigger jump then the school ponies, huh?
