Its been a bit since i last posted anything.... but yesterday I went for the first ride all winter... it felt so good being back on Youie. I only rode bearback due to my foot still not being 100% after breaking it... Hopefully i'll get a few pics today and post them.

Yes you most definitly can ... He's so big when you get on his back..lol and his stride is so big its so diferent then riding Youie..lol... I really can't wait until this seasons dressage shows I'v been training him so much all last summer.

Yesterday I got to ride Youie, and their was actually gravel to ride on. We worked on collection at the walk, trot, and a little canter. Couldn't do a great deal of training due to my fingers almost freezing off...lol He was great. Can't wait for the spring to be here ;D

Oh for sure... but I am now started training him for dressage that's all. I'm going to compete in level one for sure and depending on how he's coming along maybe even level two (fingers crossed).
I got board of training him all the same stuff , so it was time for a change, and I wanted to train him to be more responsive to my aids when asked to do something.

Can't wait for some shows and clinics and warm weather !!! ;D

What a ride I had today... to start things off just after mounting and walking for a couple of Min's, Youie decided to be his super hyper self..lol He started prancing around and throw 3 big bucks in a row , luckily I knew that he was up to something ! Then I lounged him for a good 15 Min's and all he wanted to do was canter. Then I got on him again and we worked on some sitting trot and cantering, leg yielding, walking pirouettes, turn on the hunches, shoulder-in and hunches-in. He was a super star with a lot of energy, LOL. Now to get the rider in shape oh my.

Its been a bit since I've updated . . .
We've been working almost everyday trying to get in shape for the Andy Wadowski clinic, he has been doing great We've been working on leg yielding, walking pirouettes, collected trot, collected canter, bending, smooth transitions, accepting the bridle and sitting trot.
I took the equi-fit clinic and learned that I was doing some tings wrong with my body and that was throwing Youie way off when I asked him to do things. ( Its so hard to train yourself to ride a different way when your so use to riding your way )
I've started using a different saddle cause the one that I was using was starting to get tight on his shoulders cause of the new muscles he's getting.
I've been concentrating mostly on getting Youie off of his forehand and to use his hind end more, he's learning really quick
Can't wait for the clinic !!!
