Awww, I love that guy. I was out to Southern last week sometime, and I stopped in to peek at him. He sure is a big boy! He seems to be starting to fill out too. Have fun with him

Wow he is gorgeous! I think I remember Raven actually... was he at Beaver Brook about two years? Because about that time I was at my aunt and uncles for christmas dinner (or some holiday?) and they mentioned their good friend had just bought a "baby horse" from the mainland (possibly for his wife?), and I think it was named Raven? Same horse?

Sarah, I would imagine its the same guy. I saw him when he was a coming yearling at Beaverbrook, and I don't remember there being any other Ravens there Come to think of it Vicki, it doesn't seem like he'd gotten much taller since he was a yearling. I'm sure hes grown a few inches, but he was TALL as a yearling. Haha he certainly has matured though, he doesn't look like a baby so much anymore. I know hes 3 or 4 now, but he'll probably continue growing until he's 6 or so... those Friesians take longer to mature.

He looked so tall as a yearling because of that damn neck of his. He's called Gerome around the barn (giraffe from Big Friendly Giant). I tell him to ignore it and that theyre all jealous because they cant lick the sun!

Had another amazing ride today. Every time I get on him, he's 10x better. He has some issues with the guys cutting branches off the trees, but he quickly got over that (big scary outdoor arena!!)
I think Sarah took some pics.

These are the pics from my lesson I had on Thursday Me demonstrating how to look down at the ground... Would be lovely if there wasnt a finger in the way! On a circle. We're still using a slight open rein with him..hence my hands. No outside contact? Sweet. There's that saddlebred trot...it gets nicer as the ride goes on. I promise. Again with the opening rein Here is what the trot looks like once he's warmed up. Canter
