Well, you specifically said it wasn't a snaffle.It's good that you are using a snaffle though.

Well, you specifically said it wasn't a snaffle.It's good that you are using a snaffle though. What i was meaning was i was using a differnet bit that i got to use for 1 night and it worked wonders on her,but when riding her i use a snaffle bit.

i use to use a d-ring snaffle with my mare, and she use to resist it to the point that we'd be always in a fight but this summer i started training to to rely on no reins and only my seat by completly dropping the reins and just working her on the rail with my seat and legs... it took a little while for her to get into it but now she has become a different horse, we dont have any fights, shes starting to frame nicely, her pace is alot more even and blanced and now im starting to work her in an even lighter bit ... so anyways lighter hands instead of a heavier bit works sometimes too =)
