Today i went out to the barn, Robyn lunged him while i set up a shoot for him to jump at first he had LOTS of beans, but then he seemed to settle down. When he first went over the jump, he was like " OH MY GOD!" but after that he was perfect. But him being "smart" he decided to jump the bigger jump off to the side *silly boy* After that, we walked out, i took the lead rope off and he just fallowed me everywhere. Gotta love horses

Today went up to the barn with my Friend Caitlin, Clay was REALLY hyper... I lunged him at walk and slow trot, he was Really hyper and wanted to go, so I let him go for a little canter. I set up some poles and he went over then fine... Hilary

Today I got a Call from Robyn Telling me that Clay had Cut Himself really badley on the Iron Fence .... boy was that a shock When I got to the barn, Clay was in his Stall. I then called ann-marie becuase she had messaged me about the cuts. her and Heather Marten, her mom, and one of the workers said that Clay had tryed to jump the fence, but failed to do so, and got caught. When they went to help him, he freaked out, which made it harder to help him. Hs has a cuts on all 4 legs, his back legs have the worst cuts, one is really bad, it was still bleeding when i got there. Jim had put lime on it, so it was really hard to see what they actually were like. I called the vet right away when i got there, and he told us that it was not bad enough to close it off, but he told me to keep cleaning it. Clay also hurt his back pretty badley, well he was he caught by the end of a high iron fence, so you cna imagen! He was also really stiff. When I tryed to walk him, he would not move at all. The vet told me to try to walk him every day for about 10 mins, and he gave me this stuff to givve him for stiffness . There is nothing worse then when your horse gets hurt... i am just glad that he did not break a legg .... Hilary

I checked on clay before I left the barn today Hilary and he was happily eating his hay. He wasn't favouring any of his legs and seemed pretty content. I think he'll be just fine... a little stiff, but OK. He's a lucky boy.

He's very lucky, Hilary. There was so much worse he could have done to himself easily. He was such a good boy when he was getting all cleaned up after even though he was all shaken up.
I'm glad he's fine though (for the most part). He'll recover asap. Let me know if you need any help getting out to walk him and I'll help you out!
