I just noticed that the "Exhalt/Smite" buttons have been taken away?
Have we finally taken away the immaturity and popularity contest??
Kudos, if it has.

I definatly agree that it should go... like really... Gill: I as well laugh at it when people start smiting someone for someones opinion... I know for example someone on this form who will tell it how it is instead of "sugar coating" what they have to say.. that persons karma is lowwwww, for giving her own opinion... Forums involve discussion, how can you have a discussion if everyone agrees with each other... If someone asked a "stupid" question, some people would react by saying "OMG" and then proceed by *smite smite smite smite* How are these less fortunate(meaning maybe they dont get to take lessons, or attend clinics, or talk to knowledgable people, etc etc...) people suppose to learn? This forum is one of their sources... I know I come here and learn at least one new thing a day! Anyways, back on topic, the karma is a popularity contest and honestly, this forum shouldn't "rate" people... I agree with the others---- it should go

well, i didn't smite or exhalt anybody because i think it's really stupid. so, maybe my computer was just being dumb.
yeah, and i find it hilarious how somebody smited me in the last few hours, probably because i made this post. how mature.

I find it funny because anyone who has an opinion about karma, which is about 95% of the posters, say that they think it's stupid and a popularity contest. The other 5% who don't have an opinion don't, from what I know, even use it. So... Who's doing all the smiting?
I'd honestly like to know why it was even put here in the first place. I can't even think of a constructive way to use it, other than to make you feel better by smiting someone who's ticked you off.

i don't even notice it...some ppl have major negative karma...others ar best kind...iunno what someone did to piss someone off so much they would smite someone..i never use it..i think its kinda mean..i mean if u give someone good karma..then why not everyone else..and if u smite someone thats just plan nasty....what ever way ur playing into the popluarity contest..and this is not what the forum is about!!
