franklin is a goat and what do you mean..that didn't make any sense.People breed them for milk and cheese and meat..pets, show animals, some cases fur..etc etc..blah blah hahahah ! goats...anyone want a goat? was that directed at me ? i'm not the one who said they were useless (in many respects) in the first place. That was Tessa. and they do make great pets except when they head butt your leg .. ekk.

In many cases male castrated goats have the same chances as most bulls (For those that do not know, about 98% of male calfs are eaten) Seeing as many people have issues about sluaghtering their own livestock, I am calling male goats essentially useless working-wise in our society They are also used for sheep herds. Male goats are very territorial, brave and violent. Often when herds of sheep are put out to pasture, fixed male goats are put with them to guard the herd. Same goes for male llamas. In many countries goast are also still used as burden animals, they are very strong and can pull carts or ploughs and carry heavy loads through mountainous terrain. No need for arguing guys. Many people do not know what goats are used for because they are not as common here as in the third world. That's what questions and anwers are for
