The ride is just over a week away. Who knows for sure that they are going? Does anyone know what the trail will be like (ie: rocky or not). I haven't been able to get my mitts on a second pair of Boa boots for Shelby and am a little concerned about doing a ride this long (approx 4 hrs) without them. I took her up the old railbed last weekend and her non-booted hooves were sensitive.

For the Trail Ride we want people to meet at the barn saturday morning at 10:30 am. Don't forget to bring a lunch and anything eles you need. The responsablity for you and your horse is on you. There will be a truck going to the lunch stop to take anything in there for you. There will be a BBQ provided at the lunch stop, so you can bring hot dogs or hamburger for lunch if you wish. If you have any questions feel free to call - 364-8279

Star - the road that we will be riding on is a gravel road with crush stone on most of it. there is part of cochrane pond road that we will be riding on that is rocky.

thanks for the info Abby. Shelby's second pair of boots are on their way from Calgary as we speak so footing shouldn't be an issue. I CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How much rain is "too much rain"? I'll be pulling out of Clarkes Beach between 8 and 8:30. Unless it's torrential downpours that will make the driving unsafe, I'll head on down and see if it's a go. If any decisions are made prior to that time can someone please give me a jingle on my cell 689-9774.

Did the ride go ahead? I decided not to come (hoping it will be rescheduled). The rain was coming down in horizontal sheets this morning out here with strong winds and fog. Very sad ...

YAHOO! Way to go riders and Helpers of the Daffodil Place Trail Ride!! It was a great success with a total of 24 riders pertisipating in the rain and fog, but this didn't dampen anyones spirts. It took 4 hours to do with an hour long BBQ for lunch. Next pledge ride come and join us!! Just want to say thank you to the RNC mounted Unit and ATV riders for slowing down. We do not have all the pledges in yet, so if you can a pledge please get them in as soon as possible. At last count we raised a total of $2300 for Daffodil Place!!! Good Job Guys!!
