How Come ...??

How come I never hear about any of the upcoming clinics that are on the go. I am at Dixie "H" Farm and I always find out too late for something that is happening. I would love to know about things so that I will be able to prepare for them... the new NEA site is great for the show part but for clinics its not that great. If anyone could let me know what clinics are going ahead soon especially dressage it would be great just PM me

Most of the clinics are posted on here. If not they're probably just for the barn where the clinic is being held at

The problem with that is I sometimes don't be on the computer a whole lot so i end up finding out too late when all the spaces are took up...

You could try contacting the managers of the different barns and ask if they have anything planned..or visit the barn yourself...

Like Robyn said, clinics are posted on here about 99% of the time..so sometimes you just have to be a little pro-active

Yeah i guess...lol ... I am preety happy i found this website cause last year it was horiable i didn't even find out about the centaur show till the day of the show... ( and its just in the road from me) but hopefully I will get to most of the shows this year cause of this website and the new NEA website...

Well, hopefully, with the new NEA Site, people will send in the information, and it will be posted on the site.

It's peoples own responsibility to find out when stuff is happening..visit barns..or call around to find out if there is anything planned. You pretty much have to take it in your own hands.

People bring show forms to small barns like Equine Meadows, yet Dixie is left out. It's not fair an I think that may be what Jess meant.

Clinics you're pretty much on your own for no matter where you are.

I thought Dixie was pro-private.
So I wasn't suprised in hearing that they don't receive information as openly as a place like Equine Meadows which isn't so private.

At least now you have this forum!! I'm pretty sure most all of the events taking place in NL are posted here.

I agree Andrea- its probably just due to the fact that people aren't coming and going from Dixie like they are from Clovelly, Southern, Equine or any of the other barns that are more "public".

I guess you could call Robyn or Chris at the NEA and put in a special request for them to make sure that show forms and clinic news is delivered to Dixie?

yes i'll have to do that again.. our barn is open to the public as much as anywhere else.... its just we only have 9 boarders ... but some of them are NEA members so its only fair to bring them toeveryone... they do have to drive past us to go to southren Cross so i don't see why they can't drop them off here also... oh well I know when the shows are this year so i'll just drive somewhere and take a few for our barn if we are left out this year...lol

I think the entry forms will be online on the new website, so if you keep an eye an that then you shouldnt have any trouble knowing when things are happening.

To the same degree--- if the forms are on the website this year then no one will have any reason to complain about not getting information delivered!
