UPDATE: I spoke to Shelly on Friday evening to start ironing out the details. Emily and I will be meeting on Tues to disuss things. Here is what I have so far: Shelly can offer instruction in 1. Tricks - setting the basics 2. Natural horsemanship/bonding 3. Western riding up to Level 4 Everyone will need to figure out which area they want her to focus on. The lessons will be semi-private due to time constraints. Once everyone has identified which barn they will be riding at and what they want to cover in their lessons, riders will be paired up. If you have someone that you want to ride with please let us know (we aim to please!) Shelly is planning to arrive around supper time on Fri 23 Mar. She will have to leave Sun afternoon to make it home at a reasonable time as she has to work early on Mon morning. Keep in mind that the weather is always questionable on this rock of ours so we all must remain flexible. If the weather is nasty/turns nasty there is a possibility of things not going ahead. Don't panic! I just wanted to remind everyone where we live and that shelly is coming from the other side. If Sheylly needs to make any cancellations, your moola will be refunded. Going out for supper as a group is a definite! We'll figure out which evening once the riding schedule is set. Please note that Shelly is not being paid for her time to do this clinic. We will be covering her travel expenses. If there are any monies left over they are going to be donated to the Hopeall Horse Sanctuary www.uoguelph.ca/~jsunohar/hopeall.htmAnyone who wants to audit is more than welcome. The finalized schedule will be posted on this thread. Cost of auditing is a donation to the Hopeall Horse Sanctuary. More to follow ....

We should all chip in $5 and pay for Shelly's meal. I think it is the least we could do if she is not charging us for her time!

Emily and I met today and ironed out some details. Hopefully I'll get the chance to post them all tonight (I'm working until 10 pm but should get a chance after that).

OK gang, I just went to give you the update and looked in my napsack - no notes. I forgot the file at home. Update will have to wait until Wednesday. Sorry ...
BTW, in the cost estimate I have factored in a meal allowance for Shelly and her driver (based on current federal government rates) so we won't have to worry about chipping in for their dinner.
More to follow ...
