This is really off topic, sort of, but I'm not sure if you hilary have trailered many horses or not, especially in the winter but it seems a little silly to me ( I mean, it's your horse and your decision) but why would you put the added risk of possibly injuring your horse and yourself just for a clinic thats available at your own barn?. You might get lucky and have a clear day for trailering but generally in the winter the roads have bad patches. Chances of a trailer jack knifing and flipping are a whole lot more likely among many other things. Getting your horse used to going to different barns is a super idea, and the more experience the better - but i'm just throwing out another concerned opinion because I think you're better off waiting and doing the clinic at your own barn and try trailering when the weather clears up.

King's driveway is long, and snow covered, and I've gotten stuck a few times in my car. I also think it's a silly idea, especailly because it's winter. But, it is your horse.

I got my little car stuck in the driveway when I was up there. I agree with the others that it would be safer to stay at your own barn. The roads to Kings are very narrow and hilly and it would be trecherours if the trailer AND towing vehicle didnt have snow tires on-even then its still not a smart move.

Ditto to the others. I TOTALLY understand why you want to haul you horse (and I think its very good of you to try to get some exposure on your horse) but its really not a good time of the year to be on the roads. I wouldn't haul mine this time of the year w/ my trailer unless I absolutely had to. That said, I hope you get a good day for hauling, and that you make it there safe and sound.

Hey, that's what we're all supposed to be here for. To help each other and share the knowledge. It doesn't matter if you are the only person at your barn - we're going to make every attempt to accommodate everyone.
Emily and I are going to get together in the next few days to hammer out details with Shelly. Can everyone please send me their names/horse name and which barn they would like to have their session at? Please also provide a phone number where I can contact you (use a PM for confidentiality if it's of concern to you), as well as any time restrictions due to work schedules.

I'm definately attending Hilary! Don't fret, we'll have fun with our ponies!! ;D I'm glad you're not trailering Clay, I know Jim & Michael said the road was bad when picking up Abby(I think it was Abby !)...for Clays safety it' is best to stay at SC for this clinic...only telling you cause I love you guys so much!!

Even if Anne Marie wasn't going in it, I still wouldn't trailer Clay. I think it would be awesome to be in a clinic all by myself! All that instruction to yourself.
