To be honest, I was a little disappointed. I entered into this clinic to specifically work on my jumping. I was clear right from the beginning what I wanted to focus on and what I wanted to get out of this weekend. Unfortunately, this is not what happened. We all have our areas that need to be worked on, myself included (sit up, sit up, sit up) :-) Having said that, a few minutes of focusing on such an area would be fine, but then let's move on to WHY I came to the clinic in the first place.... over fences.
I have a wonderful dressage coach and was not looking for 2 hours of dressage schooling this weekend. I was looking for direction in jumping. I did benefit somewhat from the little time I did spend schooling over fences. Imagine what could've been gained if I had been able to school the entire weekend over fences.
All in all, I'm disappointed because I think my voice went unheard as to what I had hoped to gain from this clinic.

I was a little shy to say but I wanted to work on more o/f too. For me and beau there was a little too much cantering and "steering" all over the arena. I would have liked it to be a bit more organized so Beau didn't get so wound up. I also didn't feel challenged enough by the jumps, but I guess she figured I should only do what I was doing. SHE WAS REALLY NICE! I leared that beau leans on my leg though. That's good! And he is like a worm.
