next year I want to show in a driving class with Beau, could the people who showed in it this year or know anything about it tell me what I need, like, can you buy the cart in greenhawk or some place like that? And the harness?
I love driving, Beau knows how to do it too, so I'm definatly up for it next summer if there is still such a class!

You can, they are quite expensive though. $500 or more... And harness is usually $200+. If you found something local it would like be a lot cheaper, or just borrowed it or whatever. Driving is really fun, I love it.

E Bay, though you'd pay through the nose for shipping

I never use e-bay don't trust it.
hmmm, I'm thinking I might take a trip to the saddlery and ask some questions. Is there anything specific I should ask for when getting the cart? Or do I just say a show cart or something?? I'm slightly lost!

hmm, is there any sure way to use e-bay and not get scammed? Cause I actually might think about that after all!!
I can't wait, when I get this stuff every nice day of the winter I'm going to be just out driving beau around ahh I'm so excited! What were the 2 driving classes judged on specifically?

Aly- look for a reputable seller, one with a really high rating and lots of positive feedback (over 500!) Also, if you can find something within canada, that is better as you wont pay the charges for crossing the border.

Why don't you check with someone who was in the driving class in recent shows. They may know of something for sale or advise you where they purchased theirs. Kathy Lane from Adventure Farms in Grand Falls and John Trend both had driving entries in the Grand Falls-Windsor show last month. From the show pictures on the NTR website, their carriages looked really nice.

They were both Johns
I'm sure if you hauled Beau out here he would let you borrow one of his carts for a class.

I got an idea, how about you make a poster, saying your looking for a cart ( 1 seat buggy) and harness ( possible size) and post it around some of the tack stores and co-op!
Your bound to either find someone selling, or they'll find you!!!
I'd love to get into the driving as well, but our cart is kind of garbage, and our pony needs some practise!

Well, to ship a cart around, you get a flat trailer. and put it on that, then tie it on. I could give you John's number if you want.

You don't need a credit card for paypal, it's just easier if you do I think. But you can set it up through your bank account instead. Mine is that way.
