sounds extreme. a small slap to a healthy horse is one thing but to actually punch a fagile one? thats abuse. there is no reason, unless the horse is out right attacking you for this behaviour. what did cocoa do?

He's not really "fragile" Sarah. What Aly means is that Cocoa is a bit of a ... nutter. Like Beauty, he's not used in the program because he is unpredictable and spooky. I dont remember what the exact circumstance was, but I'm sure Cocoa was just being Cocoa. haha!

Yeah Cocoa is you know..touch and go. Beautiful friendly horse, but not someone you'd wanna even slap on the face I would think.
By the way, Beau's starting to get his leads with a lot of lunging work in the right direction and with sidereins.

People who have little patience should not be involved in activites that require great amounts of patience. That clinician did himself in by behaving the way he did and it's his own fault.
Good to hear that Beau is doing better though! Seems like a lot of horses have more trouble picking up one of their leads then the other. You're not alone haha

beaus great now actually...ive been schooling him for 2 days at southern and he picks it up good. If he gets it wrong I just ask him to trot and he picks it up right. It's amazing what lunging with sidereins can do <3
