I'm arranging a barefoot trimming clinic with Gudrun Buchhofer for July the 8th and 9th at Humber River Ranch in Nicholsville, and Gudrun will also be heading out to Grand-Falls on the 10th to hold a clinic there as well. It is still possible to get into this clinic, as many people dropped out. Gudrun is offering a full-day one-on-one trim training (3 people per day) and we may also offer a 4 hour demo trim, in which she gives an introduction to barefoot hoofcare and then demonstrates how to properly trim a horse to go barefoot. Great for people who want to see what its all about, and also for those who already trim their horses feet and are simply looking for a slightly new technique. Deposits will soon be due to reserve a spot for a one-on-one intensive trim training session, as well as a small deposit to register for the 4 hour demo trim. Prices may change slightly, but as of right now its $340 for the one-on-one trim training, and $50 dollars for the demo trim. This is to cover her fees, as well as her travel costs as she is coming in from Nova Scotia. If anyones interested in attending they can contact me. My email address is jessica_boyd90@yahoo.ca Thanks

Oh god. I'm doing the intensive with her when she visits St. John's. That is an astronimical amount of money though. I don't remember it costing that much when I did a clinic with her in Nova Scotia.

Rememer the clinic would be cheaper in NS because of the cost of travel to NL and accomidations. If you are intersted in the clinic in St.John's contact Sarah barron at sbarron@clovellystables.ca She is out of town till May 23rd.

Haha I certainly am looking forward to it! I have a few issues with my horses feet that I would feel MUCH more comfortable handling with a certified professional there.

Yup, the prices are high, but TRUST ME, I'm not making a single cent off this clinic, and neither is the ranch owner. I'm trying to work it out so that we will break even! I guess because there aren't as many people in this area interested in barefoot trimming, its going to be hard to spread out the travel costs (which are nearing $400!).
We aren't sure yet about the demo trim, but if anyone knows of anyone who would be interested in attending it, tell them to contact me asap, because if we don't get enough people we are going to have to cancel it. I'm not going to pay for it out of my pocket... I certainly cannot afford to do that.
;D
