Hey I was wondering if someone with experience competing in western classes could tell me what is needed for Western Freestyle Reining? What type of stuff is involved in the pattern, etc.
Also, anyone here going it it, and what songs/themes are they doing?

I LOVE FREESTYLE REINING! super excited haha. My theme is a secret! Kelly if you still want more info on it I'll email colin and see what I can get for you..he's done it. haha. last year Emily and Reo did the pink panther and Em dressed Reo up in pink..Amy Baird did "black and White" by micheal jackson i think? and her and Gus had on black and white..Umm Colin did "Money" by pink floyd..and was no fun and didn't dress up..and then he did "bad to the bone" and wore motorcycle clothes and had a cigar in his mouth.. just a few ideas!

Haha, I got so many pictures and videos from last years! I'd do some reining on Bueno, but that poor pony, I think he'd collapse!
Kelly, you can email someon on the NEA webpage? or some western coach, they'd know!

Hey everyone!! I LOVE FREESTYLE REINING!!
And to answer your question, here are a few things needing to go into your pattern:
4 spins to the right and left Both large and small circles, at a lope, and fast lope At least 2 roll-backs Flyings
Here are a few things that need to be in it, and you can make up your own stuff to (like me) Well i'm going to be getting in Freestyle this summer with Queen, and you'll see our theme!!
