I just got the Prize list for the Equestrian Insight show at BB.
I think im taking Red in walk/trot pleasure, and in Dressage, walk trot # 1.
Taking it easy in our first show.
But I was wondering..at the end of the class list there is a Basic 1 Kur.
I dont know much about Dressage, Im learning. But can somebody explaion what is Required? Any cantering?
Thanks.

Like we discussed, my guess is that if it listed as a Basic 1 Kurr then you probably have to ride at the Basic 1 level- whatever that entails.
Call Chris/Erin Gallant for more details would be my suggestion.

I was looking through the prize list and wondering the same thing - they didn't really give details. If you contact Chris or Erin, would you let us know what they said about Kur?

But arn't there certain figures you have to have in your Kur? I don't know how these things work, but that's what I thought

What movements are 'of a higher level' (or probably easier to answer which ones are not)? Does this mean the only figures you can have in your Kur at this level would be 20m circles?

Thats what I wanted to know too! Like, can we do serpentines, simple changes, 15 m circles?! What about extended and collected gaits?

hmm let me think.. well in basic 2B I think you do simple changes so yah , simples would be past that level, simples I know for sure actually are past the level! I'd say just circles, free walk, serpintines i know are only in basic 2B as well , so thast past the level as well . But yah good luck to anyone going in it
