One of the other Clovelly boarders and I was talking about how we don't have near as many western clinics as we used to. So we're looking at getting either Jim Durling, Mona Lewis, Phillip Theburge, Norma Graham, or Travis Smith over for a clinic or two over the summer. And maybe with enough interest get a series going. I am wondering who wouUld be everyones first , second, and third pick. Also when would they like the clinic to be held? Most likely it will be held at Clovelly. None of us want to sink money into it we just want costs paid for. So we're looking for everyone to have the clinic paid for a month before the clinic is held. Obviously if your horse comes up lame or family emergency, refund will be given.

I love Jim Durling--have done numerous clicics with him years past. Not familiar with the others. I have ridden with Nancy more recently, and she is really great. I'd be interested in her as well.
It would be great if clinicians would travel. I don't own a horse (only lease), and don't have the extra funds to trailer one about.

HJcayus- all depends on who attends the clinic. if majority of people are in the Gould's, It'll be in the Gould's if we can get an arena, etc. who would you be riding in the clinic if it went ahead just to get an idea where it should be held? traveling chews up allot of time and is a hassle if things are delayed (usually) being on the scheduling side, sometimes it isn't doable.
I have watched allot of the Jim clinics but haven't been in one (was in my pre- reining days when he was here ha ha ) So look forward to it if it goes ahead!

Great!! If we get a full clinic, it will be $200 each for Mona. Waiting to get some contact information for Jim Durling.

WHICH Weekends are you looking at?
Just to throw it out there for you guys but Maybe Matt Hudson would come over? You're entering a very busy season though, so it may be hard to get people to come over during the show season, between showing and training there own.

^ been in contact with Mona and working it out as we speak! She knows about our crappy hay situation so is debating on bringing over a load to sell of there is enough interest or time in the schedule!
And yes, it will be a two day clinic.

Just want to ad that Mona is fantastic. I had Rodeo in a clinc with her when is was a late two year old, and LOVED it. One of the best clinics I have ever been in. Jim is great too and I'd definitely be interested in his clinics as well. Any clinics really.
I'd love to participate in WP clinic as well for Ted if that's in the future.
