Today I went to Embarr with my Dad and his girlfriend Ursula.
I was nervous at first since I dont normally have an audience but on the drive to the stables, Ursula gave me a beautiful gift. It was a picture of me and Tango along with a HorseCanada magazine! I love it!
Now back to the Training Log...
I arrived at the barn and it was quite cold this thursday but of course I didnt even care. I just wanted to learn something new! So I walked down to the Indoor arena and Alicia told me that I would be on Marvin today!!!! I was sooo excited! I practicaly ran up the hill to the barn. Then I laid my eyes on him. He was absolutely gorgeous. Grey with soft brown eyes. I attached the halter and lead rope then I was off. I quickly groomed him and tacked him up with a dressage sadle. Alicia told me that he was a cross between a Quatre horse and a Arab. Once Alicia attached the lead rope onto him I started some sitting trot and standing trot. I never felt so comfortable in the sadle.
Alicia said that it was my best lesson yet!!! Yay! I managed to keep my back straight, along with my heels down and legs back. I just need to work on keeping my hands parralell to my elbow.
After the lesson, I brought Marvin back up to the barn and offered to help Alicia feed the horses. My Dad even helped out! He had his business coat on and everything! Once giving all the hay out, we had to give the grains. The horses went beserke as soon as I popped on of the tins open! They started neighing and jumping around in their stalls.
This was definatly one of the best lessons that I have ever had!
Thanks Alicia and Marvin!!!!
