katlyn stated she did not want to talk about ir right now.
I sympathise that a human error could cause harm to an animal and I hate to see someone beat themself up over it.
Katlyn I am so sorry but you need to know he is in safe hands now and not in pain or suffering...God puts all creatures on this planet for a reason. If your puppy lived a short life maybe it was for a reason......Don't beat yourself up...Don't feel guilty.Accidents do happen.
HUGS and know that life throws punches and curve balls at us. It is a learning experience for us all...

kso, i don't want anyone b^tching at me for this. Because i've already had enough of it.
I was cleaning my room today and under my bed his hid all his stuff. And i balled.
It was a beautiful day. i was going to take him for a walk actally.
I was exxctied over getting a horsee, so i was looking threw a greenhawk catolouge . Which got me distracted. I went to check on max , he was finee, down playing with his squeeky he looked at me wagged his tail at me. So i went back looking at the greenhawk catolouge. About 20 minutes later, i got up and walked into moms room (which was facing the back yard where he was tied on. And i saw him hanging there.... I ran as fast as i could dropped everything and went downn shook him but nothingg, i started swearing like a salor. I ran up the steps tryign to yank him up back threw the steps and all i saw was his cold black eyes and his mouth open with his tounge sticking out...
He wrapped him self around the pole on the stairs, and he figured he would of made it up the stairs , and his must off been trying to get to the top of the steps and fell threw the steps, and no one knew, it was only me homee. And when i saw him, i said ' holy f!(& Max what did i do to you?'
Its soehting that will haunt me for the rest of my life. I didn't want to touch a thing, after holding him there dead. I didn't hear him cry or anythingg. I wanted to give away my hamster, and i wanted to stop everything involving animals for the rest of my life...
that day i could of went to school if i wanted but there was no point. And for the past week everyone has been saying. see if you came to school with us this wouldn't of happened.

The exact same thing happened to my cousin's dog. It was a mistake anyone could make, don't beat yourself up.

Katlyn is takes a lot to tell your story and don't beat your self up like I stated....
There is many things that will go through your mind that you could have or should have done but please don't do it......Just know that things happen for a reason......
I had to put a horse down after a fencing acident and I don't know how many times and to this day what could I have changed......What could I have done more........Our fencing is ok and there is nothing I could of done to change that day but the fact still remains the horse did what he did that day and is now running the greener pastures....he had never ever done anything of this sort before.....It just happened....
I still occasionally think of that day and trust me it won't go away so easily.....But don't feel guilty.....Think of the happier days with him.........

It is very true, hundreds and hundreds of dogs die this way. you would be suprised. it is super important to tie them on ground level for sure, dogs seem to not have alot of concept of what it means when they are tied by steps or a deck...
But like the saying goes, live and learn - its a shitty way to have to loose an animal, but now you know the difference for the future!! Accidents do happen. It always seems unfair.

RIP puppy Really sorry about your lost but really accidents happens and believe me beating yourself up over it isn't going to help in any way. I spent along time beating myself up over the fact that my dog I had my whole life broke his hip one morning getting off my bed when i was getting up, and he had to be put down. I blamed myself but that is no way to go about it. Losing an animal is really hard Mop has been gone 3 years now and it still hurts. Lately buddy has had breathing problems and mom says she may need to be put down and it kills me to think about it.

Don't beat yourself up. . .my first dog that I had since I was born died almost two years ago basically the same way your puppy did. I blamed myself so much. . .I tied him on cause dad was cutting wood and he was getting in the way, when I looked, he had wrapped himself around the pole in the step and we're pretty sure he got panicked and had a heart attack (he was old). I really do know how you feel and it sucks. BUT we all make mistakes and you really should stop beating yourself up. It's not going to bring your puppy back and it's going to make the situation a lot worse, I know from experince. So just go day by day and think of all the happy times you had with your puppy and stop blaming yourself. Excuse my language here but, life's a oh pickles and unfortunatly we got to deal with it.
