Hey it's been a while since I've updated on Josh's recovery so I guess since today was such a wonderful day for him I think it would be the best time to update! Since the last time I updated we got the go ahead from AVC to start lunging him and to build up his muscule. Josh started lunging 5 mins a day every second day, after each session his muscule trembles would start again. after few weeks we had built up to 10 minutes, then 15 without any trembles. I put the saddle on him Thursday and lunged him 10 minutes and he was fine but I didn't want to push it. I have been saddling him regularly to apply weight in each stirrup to test his balance which wasn't great. Today I tacked him up, saddle and bridle and halter to lunge. I lunged him 10 minutes on the flat, 5 minutes over poles and I spent 5 minutes testing his balance whice was amazin today, so before I brought him in for the night, I put my foot in the stirrup(with sneakers and no helmet ), I hauled myself up, sat there for a second dismounted and brought him back to the barn. He never trembled once and he never lost him balance when I mounted him!!! I was so happy. ;D I can't get over the leaps and bounds he's making him his recovery!! I attached a pic of him from yesterday, at you can see he's gained a lot of weight!! Attachments:

I'm so happy he's doing so well And it's even better that he has someone like you to take care of him and love him when he needs you the most

That's so great to hear! You're obviously doing a fabulous job taking care of him, and that's what he needs. Someone to love him and make him better

Good Job Jacqueline! Glad to hear he's doing better, you should be proud, he definitely wouldn't be here today, or even started recovery without someone like you to look after him!

Great news! It sounds like he's making steady progress. He's very fortunate to have you for an owner. Someone who is willing to let him heal - no matter how long it takes.
