FYI to all you fans, a Quarter Horse Race Track is currently under construction in Ontario at one of the bigger race tracks and once officially opened it will televise on select channels just as they do for TB's and STB's. This will apparently be compatible to other mainstream tracks here in Canada and the purses are huge for these races, with TB jockeys vying for rides already. Will keep you posted when closer to opening.

We've had QH racing here for few years now. It's really picked up popularity because the training and other costs are generally lower than other types of racing, mostly because it isn't as popular....yet! There was a big article last year about it in our local farm mag. I know they currently race at Ajax Downs, I didn't hear of any other tracks being built though.
