Not many of our local population may know of this gentleman who dominated the Ontario and US tracks for many years and who's fierce determination, heart and beauty earned him 2005 Horse of the Year at the O'Brien Awards. He retired at 11 and then returned again last year and still won races against horse much younger. I am pleased to announce that while in Ontario last week, I was informed by Woodbine that the grey gladiator...having finally reached the age of final retirement was given to one of his daily handlers who discovered that once a saddle went on this amazing pacer....he immediately went through the field at perfect w/t/c....and so begins his new career. The Admiral will be touring Ontario horse shows this year in efforts to raise awareness and funds for both the Ontario STB Rescue and Adoption Societies. The hats embroidered with his picture are flying off shelves and all proceeds go to the aforementioned societies. FYI to fans of this amazing horse(I'm sure G, Unino etc.) and to anyone not familiar with him, google and see his impressive career as he starts a new journey!!!!!!!!!!

What an amazing horse pacing in 1:48 He was like a white ghost flying down the home stretch! They kept him so white, seeing him in the race paddock took your breath away!
