I think I may try this. Annie has been on cortaflex for going on two years and I am really not sure that it's done a whole lot of anything :/

i agree an 8lbs would be amazing but the cost on it would be more so the company could still make a profit. it probably smells so good because it's all natural (just sprouted granules). once i'm back from holidays i'm going to start taking the human ones! if it helps make my animals feel and look so much better, i'm 100% game for feeling better myself!

Let us know if CATIVA progresses over the next two weeks.. Im interested.. but I like testimonials from "real" people. I like what KRISTA has to say about them.. but Im always skeptical about the website stuff..

It took 3 or 4 days to get it in town from Grand Falls.
You can have it the same day if you're willing to meet the DRL at the cross roads in Paradise! Cost is the same - about $10.
That said.... if a bunch of people want to order it, I'm going to get another tub in a few weeks (so Cativa has it for when I'm in London- she wont run out till end of January, then!) so maybe we could order all together and get it sent at once.

As an update on Cativa -
This is her fourth day on it and I dont know if a bunch of factors have helped or if this is some kind of miracle drug, but my horse has never looked more sound, health or happy in years.
As a background:
Cativa tore her cruciate ligament in her right hind about 3 years ago. This is an injury that most horses never bounce back from - they become permanent pasture ornaments.
After 2 years of rest (1 intentional, the other because I moved home) Cativa was sound enough to pass her vet test when I purchased her, and to go back into medium work. She probably will never jump 3' courses (and stay sound) and will be prone to arthritis, but overall she is good to go.
Her movement since the injury has always been funny. The affected leg doesnt track up quite as well (this is kind of funny because she over tracks by at least a whole hoof haha!) as the other leg, and lately she has seemed sore in the front end.
About two weeks ago Cativa came in with scrapes/cuts on her leg and swelling in her left front. She was off from riding or any exercise but still went out on turnout and had regular cold hosing.
4 days ago, I started her on Nzymes. 3 days ago we moved from Cloverdale to Clovelly.
Miranda and I lunged her on Monday, and I have never seen my horse look SO sound since before her cruciate injury.
She is moving freely in both front and back (still doesnt quite track up the same in both hing legs but that will always be that way because the ligament is not the same anymore), is very happy and in good spirits each time I see her, and seems to be a bit mellowed out (she's a warmblood thoroughbred cross and can be a firecracker!)
There have been a few major events in the last week, between the cuts, the lack of exercise, starting the nzymes and the big move....but I couldn't be happier. Whatever has happened, my horse is definitely the most sound she has ever been.
Will continue to update as she has more time on the Nzymes.

I wouldnt mind getting some either! My boy is only 7 but his joints are cracking when he walks. Is there a store in St Johns? You can have them sent to you from Grand Falls. They take credit card over the phone and ship by DRL or regular mail. "Patches Pet Supply" is the store 489-4944 I am going to see about getting a dealer here in the city..... would be super convenient!

well conveniently GF is only like 45 min, so I could probably wave the shipping and go pick it up.. I think I will be getting it for my boy too! I'm convinced and maybe it will work on my bad knees too! I think anyone who is going to try the granuals should give it a week and then tell us what you see and what was wrong with your horse to begin with (like with Cativa).. I think this would be great to see how the horses are doing and maybe convince others to try it
